Patti Mason joins 海角社区 as Climate Action Strategist
(DENVER, August 29, 2023) 鈥� 海角社区 Chief Climate Officer Premnath Sundharam, AIA, CEM, today announced Patti Mason, LEED AP, has joined the firm in the new role of climate action strategist. She will work with 海角社区 studios and clients to develop and implement specific climate strategies throughout the full life cycle of the project 鈥� from design through construction and operation.

Mason鈥檚 expertise will help 海角社区鈥檚 private and public sector clients navigate complex regulatory environments to meet the performance expectations of the Architecture 2030 Challenge.
“Patti鈥檚 career has grown in the nexus between green building policy and technology, and her expertise and experience are a natural addition to 海角社区鈥檚 integrated design services,鈥� says Sundharam. 鈥満＝巧缜� is signatory to the , , and the , which all target a built environment of net zero carbon buildings. Mason is uniquely suited to align and stretch the climate and environmental goals of design teams and clients. Over a decade, she held multiple leadership roles with the U.S. Green Building Council including executive director of USGBC Colorado and USGBC Regional Director for Market Transformation and Development. During her tenure at USGBC, Colorado ranked in the top 10 of states for LEED certified square footage. She also was a governor-appointed member of the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environmental Pollution Prevention Advisory Board.
