海角社区

(Dubai, February 29, 2024) 鈥撀燬ince 1919, The American University in Cairo, the leading English-language, American-accredited institution of higher education in the heart of Egypt鈥檚 capital, has existed as 鈥溾�� Home to approximately 7,000 undergraduate, graduate, and doctorate students, AUC now seeks to expand its already robust campus in New Cairo with five projects across an undeveloped 65 acres. 海角社区 has been selected by AUC to bring this vision to life and transform the campus at this renowned institution.

Located at the University鈥檚 headquarters in New Cairo, 海角社区鈥檚 work on AUC鈥檚 Campus Expansion Project will consist of Student Housing and the Hub for Extended Learning and Education. Adding these new buildings will allow AUC to continue expanding while redefining the essence of higher education infrastructure.

海角社区’s design aims to incorporate state-of-the-art and sustainable design elements while maintaining the look, feel, and integrity of the existing campus. Design for the new student housing is focused primarily on meeting all areas of student wellness and creating community through spaces such as cafes, co-working rooms, prayer rooms, music rooms, and more. Design for The Hub of Extended Education will incorporate transparent elements to encourage collaboration and interaction, while biophilic elements will contribute to feelings of rejuvenation and wellbeing. Overall, 海角社区 is committed to creating a campus expansion that not only meets the functional and aesthetic needs of AUC, but also fosters an inclusive, dynamic, and innovative learning environment for its diverse student population.

海角社区 will provide programming, architecture, and interior design services.

Schematic design is currently underway. Construction is expected to begin in 2025.
